It looks so much like us that visitors to our living room where our portrait is hanging sometimes say, Oh!, with astonishment. We really were so happy with the result: This is just us, together.
Bob and Selma Leff, Tucson, Arizona.
Bob and Selma Leff were retiring and to celebrate, wanted a portrait done of themselves. These two busy people did everything together, taking language courses and traveling to folk dance conventions, and I asked them to pose in a way that would show their closeness. I also asked them to wear similar colors. This worked, as you can see.
This was a surprise birthday present from Devon Hill to his fiancée Joy. They loved having a good time; their personality as a couple was joyful and playful. I used primary colors to capture Devon and Joys vivacious, outgoing ways.
Devon: It looks exactly like us, although I dont see how Carol did it from one photo. It definitely captures my wifes beautiful smile and her face.
