Elvira sat for this painting. She'd always wanted a portrait of herself and decided this was the right time. I used the richest oil colors, to best describe the rich range of colors in her lovely skin tone--–and to show Elvira’s delight in being her own, sensuous woman. Her special blend of friendliness and confidence can be seen in her facial expression.
